Earth Patterns Sections
This piece is inspired by the same conceptual basis as Patterns of the Earth: the contemplation of Guatemala's natural reliefs and the rhythmic geometries that emerge from its terrain. Starting from the landscape, the work translates the contours of the mountain range into a sequence of stratified planes, creating a volumetric interpretation that oscillates between landscape and abstraction.
Through repetition and sectioning, the sculpture reveals how structure can emerge from the accumulation of simple gestures. Each plane acts as a fragment of the terrain and, together, they form a continuous surface that evokes geological time and material memory.
The result is a balance between precision and organic rhythm, a topographic echo materialized in sculptural form.
